Costa Rica offers the fisherman a number of choices for fishing, from novices to world class sportfishermen.
Deep in the Costa Rican jungles, anglers enjoy the peace and serenity that only a tropical jungle offer. This solitlude is broken only by the sounds of native birds calling.
Guapote and Machaca along with Mojarra are the most popular Costa Rican freshwater fish. They provide great light tackle fishing 12 months a year and are so abundant that 70 or 80 strikes per day is not unusual.

On the Carribean side, Costa Rica offers great Tarpon and Snook angling. Snook, known for their hard hitting and fast runs, are sure to give the angler a memorable time.
Tarpon fishing in Costa Rica will provide the angler with more thrills per fish than just about any creature that lives in water. Once you set the hook, watch as they explode skyward, twisting and turning trying to free themselves of your lure.
Expect to see 10 or more spectacular aerial displays before you land one of these "King of Gamefish."
